Blog Much?
I just got a call from one of my favorite Icovia (Business Edition) contacts. Let’s call her Jane, for the sake of this conversation. Jane called to tell me that she finally got around to “checking out this blog thing” that I mentioned in my email. She was delighted to find the type of information she found there. Jane also confessed that she’s been ignoring the blog reference in my email signature because she had no idea what a blog is.
Are you in that camp? Or maybe you’ve been to a few blogs, but don’t quite get the concept? Not to worry – blogging is a fairly new concept, so you’re in good company. “Blog” is derived from Web Log. It’s an informal communication forum for exchanging ideas and information, among other things.
This is a fairly new blog, and there aren’t many comments on it so far. But I would like this blog to be an open forum, with lots of input from people like you. I think that people appreciate candid discussion. To that end, I’m removing the “submit email address” requirement as well as the comment preview filter. Do me a favor, keep it honest, clean and kind. Now you have no excuse. Post your comments. We’d love to hear from you. If you have a comment you would like to post, but don’t know where to post it, you can always comment on this post.

Hi Josh,
Great read, thanks. I hadn't seen it. I not only subscribe to the bloggers creed but the comments that follow. Steve Street, Co-founder and CEO of Icovia asked me to develop this blog. He knows that I am neither a "salesman" nor a "marketer." My primary role here is Support and Service Manager. To that end, I've got a vested interest in not disappointing our customers and users. Am I an "Icovia Evangelist?" Sure! But that’s because I like the products and believe in the company.
I’m pretty sure Steve expects me to “call ‘em like I see ‘em.” He envisions a community culture among Icovia users. This blog is about providing a meeting place for that purpose. I don't sent out my posts for approval before publishing them. Sooner or later, I’ll probably have to beg for forgiveness for something I say here. ...Been there, done that. As far as I'm concerned, this is an open forum for ideas, information and straight-talk.
Regards,

Paul, have you had come accross the bloggers creed? I wonder what you might think about it.
