Diana,
At the moment our Design Edition product does not have a dishwasher icon. Our developer said that he assumed a countertop would extend above the dishwasher and so an independent icon was not needed. I'll see if I can have him create one for our upcoming release of Icovia version 5.0.
Speaking of Icovia 5.0, part of our complete revamp of Design Edition will include the ability to layer icons. I have tested the demo of version 5.0 (found here: http://v5pcsdemo.icovia.com/icovia.aspx ) and it rocks! Click on "Show all tools" in order to see what version 5.0 can really do!

I don't see an icon in the Kitchen or appliances for a dishwasher. Did I just miss it?
Also, how can I make a bookcase that goes over a desk, as part of upper cabinets? The bookcase icon puts itself UNDER the desk.
Thanks

Thanks for your great idea Tudor. You will be happy to learn that the functionality of allowing floors to have textures as well as colors is already in progress. Icovia version 5.0 will be launching first with Business Edition in very early November and Real Estate and Design Edition will follow shortly there after. Version 5.0 of Icovia is our largest upgrade ever. Look for the new features posted on Icovia.com in October.
Thanks and happy planning!

Under landscaping, all "pathways/driveways" icons overlap doors and walls. These should be treated as floors. Maybe you can tie these in to the flooring tool and give the user a choice of "textures" (brick, slate, wood, etc.) in addition to colours, rather than having these as icons.
